Received a QSL card from the TBN headquarters in California for a report on their broadcast via on 820 kHz. The QSL card is actually from TBNs shortwave outlet KTBN in Utah, but a «Thank you for the Radio Paradise report» on the back is a verification text which is good enough for me. Several reports directly to Radio Paradise in Charlestown, St. Kitts-Nevis, have never been successfull so I am glad I finally get a reply from this one.
Radio Paradise’s location (the Caribbean) and power (50 kilowatt) makes them a station which is very easy to hear at Lista. Unfortunately, they only relay the extremely dull audio feed of the religious satellite channel TBN at night, which is the time where we can hear them in Scandinavia. Local programming is only carried 8 hours a day – from 7.00 to 15.00 St. Kitts time, according to the World Radio TV Handbook – not a time of the day when AM signals propagates from the Caribbean into Norway.
