Getting a reply from WDCD hasn’t been easy, but I was lucky and got an e-mail from Program Director Peter Kaye in my first attempt. This was again for a reception report from the Lista DX-pedition in February, but WDCD was heard even around summer solstice a few weeks ago at my home QTH. WSOK was heard all three nights playing nonstop gospel music. Several hours of listening were needed to get an ID, hard to tell if that was because the station don’t identify very often or because of the conditions (I suspect the latter…). Although the quality of my recording was not too good, v/s Marty Foglia writes in his e-mail to me that “the audio you sent was probably the best I’ve gotten, from your part of the world, yet!”. May be he has received many recordings from Scandinavian DX-ers containing VERY poor audio quality!
